Normally its a hardware prob when the pc beeps unnormal at the beginning.

do listen to the beep and write the sequence down.

after this, you should do what taxi says :)

The times that I had a 'beep-problem', it was caused by a RAM-module that wasn't properly seated. Removing the module, booting, shutting down and then install the ram-module again solved it in my case.
Be sure to unplug your powercable(s) when handling the rammodules.

Just like "TAXI" you will need to find out what the beeps mean. When a system starts it goes into a boot process that includes a POST(Power On Self Test)this is where the beep codes come from. One short beep means all is well. Anything else is an error. They are in a long-short format so you have to count the codes i.e one short-three long-one short which could mean you have a video card failure. Your motherboard manufacturer will need to tell you this. Something to look for, does it appear that the hard drive light flashes more than once. If it does not your problem is either Video card, RAM or Processor. Try reseating all of these components and rebooting. If this does not work, you most likely have a failure.
