Pc 2100 ram vs pc 3200

I am planning to build a new computer. Due to buget cost i was wondering weather its woprth getting pc 3200 ddr ram as opposed to pc 2100 ddr ram. Will i see that much of a difference between the two? I thank you in adavnced.

It depends on what speed memory is required for the MB you will use. PC2100 = 266Mhz, PC2700 = 333Mhz, PC3200 = 400Mhz. If the chipset on the MB doesn't support 400Mhz memory, then unless you are planning on overclocking, its overkill. Even if you plan on OCing with a 333 memory controller, you may or may not be able to use DDR 400. If you are thinking of a MB with nForce2 chipset, they perform the best with memory running at the same speed as the FSB. nForce2 MBs are fussy about the memory they will run. Check with the MB maker website for a listing of tested modules.
