Comment:

What tuner, gfx card, cpu, sound card, etc do you guys recommend for a new media center PC? I want it to record hdtv, play dvds and maybe blu rays, and have the right connections for a plasma tv and surround sound system. Should I go for Vista Home Premium or XP Media Center 2005?

Thanks

To my knowledge there are no tuner cards that will record cable HDTV. The only cards I am aware of will only record HDTV from an antennae.

I believe you would want Vista Ultimate.
