Partition: Virtual memory

CPU/Ram: 1.4 GHz/256 MB

I have a C: drive partion on the letter D:. I formatted it and it works. There aren't any file but 38% of its disk space is used. I don't want to delete it in case it's virtual memory. Could I delete it without problems? I want to get rid of it. I don't think I need a partition.
