u have a friend who has a webtv which has a usb input for a printer.. her old printer has a parallel output cable and no usb cable. there is a parallel to usb adapter cable available on line at sewelldirect.com.. does anyone know if this adapter will work with a webtv device ???

G'day, The cable you are referring to connects a USB output to a printer. If your webtv has a USB output for sending information to a printer (with a centronics parallel connector)then it should work from a hardware point of view. Whether you would need special software or additional power (we are going from serial to parallel) I couldn't comment. regards, Elrci

Without the ability to load the drivers, The printer wont work. Contact webtv for a list of printers that are compatible with the drivers built into webtv.
