Comment:

i just bought a mb ...i have an old case and therefore old power switch/hd led/reset...etc...wires.
they dont fit the new panel1 arrangment on the mb

i figured the pwr switch is the only one that matters and since both the cable and mb have two jumper holes for it, i plugged it in but the computer wont respond when i try to power it up =\

When you fit a mobo, please take into account:-

a) the psu needs to have the correct power connectors for the mobo.

b) the case needs to be correct, with holes for ports in the right place etc.

Sometimes new cannot be used with old, simply because they do not match up without a lot of heartache.

Do not follow your comment concerning the power switch. Normally this is part of the psu and/or attached to it by cable.

Good luck - keep us posted.

Do you have a ATX or AT case ???
An ATX board will not run with a AT psu!
