Hi,
A friend gave me his Packard Bell which needs some fixing but there is no XP CD. It's one of those systems that have partitioned the HD into C: (Slave-User Data) and D: (OS Partition).
When it boots it has 2 options:
1) Normal XP Boot and
2) Recovery Console

I have to do an sfc /scannow to verify file integrity, but for this I need an XP CD.
Any ideas?

Why don't you use yours? Any xp disk will do, as far as I am aware.

http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc... this site tells you where the files might be stored on the hard disk.

C:WINDOWS\System32\Dllcache
