I have read that the socket 1156 with the P55 chipset will support the Xeon (i.e. X3430 - X3470) Lynnfield processors. Does that mean all motherboards (specifically MSI P55-CD53 & Foxconn P55A-S)? Can anybody confirm? Thanks.
You''d be surprised (or not) to see how incomplete the manufacturers' sites are; as an example the Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 and GA-P55-USB3 are not listed on Gigabyte's website, yet they supports it. Another example is the P55 Extreme from ASRock. I was just looking for someone with first hand experience.
