Good morning all, I have been offered the following for £45 -
Pentium 4 3E Gigahurts 800MHZ front side bus 1mb L2 Cache
My question is.. what does the 'E' bit mean.
Also, I do have a P4 2.8 800bus so I'm not 100% if this is going to make much difference. It's the 1mb Cache thats attracting me.

you will not see a ton of improved performamnce. your system specs are fine, take the money you were going to spend on the new system and add it to your existing (speakers or something you might want to improve). Your mobo probably supports a 3Ghz cpu, if it si that important, you could just buy the cpu and add it (you'll want to check your mobo to ensure it will work forst)
