Yes it's good, but not worth the money for it right now.

Its unnoticably faster than the 2.8 , but if you do multitasking A LOT, then its definatly worth it. If your the kinda person who wants to convert multiple video files at once or play Unreal while running a server, than its good, but speed wise, its not much faster.

Its really expensive also, there are better places your money can go. You could get 100 Tacos.

Hyperthreading is a function looking for an application.

What apps / games, or whatever you want to run, can currently take advantage of this?

Read a true evaluation so that you can make a proper and informed decision.

"In summary Hyper-Threading is a innovative new feature that helps to up the efficiency of the Pentium 4 processor and can boost the performance of the processor significantly. There's only one drawback that might put the brakes on the performance under some circumstances and that's that the shared resources inside the Hyper-Threading processor are not SMT aware. These shared resources are both the Hyper-Threading Pentium 4' strength and weakness as they up efficiency but could also lower performance".
