Hello I have p31 neo with 2 gb ram (kensington) I have ann additonal 2 ram (1gb each also kensington brand and same model as the 2 ram cards that I have. It seems that my motherboard will not accept anyting higher than 2 gb, but if I read the manual it is supposed to accept up to 4gb ram, I tried upgrading the bios but to no avail, please advise.

Thank you

It looks like the point of the MSI page referred to by wanderer is that when 4 DIMMs are installed they must be SS (Single Sided) or they won't work.
What kind of DIMMs do you have? SS or DS?

My apologies for the late reply I had to find out the model of the kingston ram I have: KVR667D2N5/1G, all my cards are Double sided and I have 4 of these 1 GB ram cards of the same model. Is my problem related to the fact that I cannot use 4 DS ram cards with this motherboard?

Yes. That's what wanderer's link says in the tables. DS are ok if you only have two sticks but with 4 you have to use SS
