p3 processor overclocking

hi,

i'm working on a friend's pc with this pentium 3 processor. this are some infos. which is on the processor itself - 800EB/256/133/1.7v, what i need to know is does "256" mean 256k l2 cache? and how far can this cpu goes? is the multiplier lock?

all are welcome. thanks....

the 256k is the cpu cache. as for ocing the cpu depends on the motherboard

CPU speed> 800mhz
L2 cache> 256KB
Frontside buss max speed> 133
CPU Core voltage> 1.7volts
Some settings are dip switch or jumper selectable on the motherboard. But that doesn't mean the cpu chip will respond to the changes in the settings. Some times it just won't do any thing. Some times it smokes the chip. I personaly wouldn't bother. 800mhz is pretty quick for a P3.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
