Hi,
Last nite I attemped to overclock my athlon xp 1900 and my memory that is 256 DDR pc2100. I have never done it before but my first attempt worked! Though the BIOS, I made my host clock 138mhz and the DRAM clock 138mhz. Also, the vdimm voltage to 2.8v . It said Athlon xp 2000. YES!!!Then i tried to upper the host clock and DRAM clock to 139mhz. I didnt upper the voltage because it was at its highest. (2.7v) Rebooted my computer, said Athlon 2000, loaded Windows XP, and then on the welcome screen, i blue screen apeared with a STOP error. dam i thought. I restarted the computer a number of times, same thing.
I am now running on my BIOS DEFALT. (I choosed to)I thought to my self, is it because my PSU (a mere 250watt) not powerful enough to handle my new settings, or is it the best my computer can handle?
ThanksMY SPEC:
ATHLON XP 1900 (not barton, or thoughbred)
256 MB DDR PC2100
V6DP jetway motherboard
GEFORCE 4 mx440 64ddr AGP 8x

why did you raise the vdimm?
if i'm not mistaken, you don't have to change that except for the last resort if everything else appears unstable...i can overclock my 2500+ to 205 fsb without changing any voltagessounds like you have a palomino core...a very poor overclocker, then again, it could be your PSU
