so is it ok to go overboard with case fans? i have a system that gets very warm. in the front i have two case fans screwed in blowing air in. then in the back i have the regular case fan blowing air out beneath the psu. and also another pci blower on the bottom. im using all the connectors on my 400w psu. is this overdoing it? better to be safe then sorry right. im worried that these fans will take up a lot of power and take away from the power going to other things like my cpu. any suggestions.

I think you're safe if you have a 400W PSU. Just make sure you have 20+ Amps available on the +12V rail... there should be a chart on the PSU itself.

Yes you've gone overboard but you're not hurting anything. You might also go to pricewatch.com and get some round ide and floppy cables and also tie up the hanging wires from your psu.

No, you are not over doing it. 2 intake fans and 2 exhaust fans is prety much normal for an AMD setup, especially the 2000+. Since you have a 400W PSU, powering the rest of your componets should be fine. Noise preference could be a problem though.
