Out of frequency range

OS: Windows 2000 Professional
CPU/Ram: Intel(R) Pentium/ 2.80 GH
Comment:

My computer is showing error message "Out of frequency range". It will only start up in safe mode and will not let me change any of the display settings. I have no idea what may be causing the problem.

If you're using a LCD monitor, you can get that problem. You can fix it by plugging in a CRT monitor, and changing the resolution back to your LCD monitor's native resolution.

I tried reinstalling the drivers on my bro's computer, but that didn't help...I had to plug in the CRT
