On a new computer I had to add a usb dvd burner because there weren't enough bays. It worked okay. Then the computer failed so I went went back to my old computer and reinstalled the dvd burner into its old bay. Everything works as before, except for the dvd burner drive. It doesn't burn. The drive is recognized on "my computer", but doesn't show the inserted disk. I disconnected the new usb burner drive, but that didn't make a difference. Perhaps I don't have the bay onboard drive selected as a burner drive(?) It seems I used to be able to indicate which drives are for burning, etc., but I can't remember how to do that. Home XP system.
