When I turn on my pc there is power to the board. the fan turns on, the cd drive is on, but the orange light stays on and I noticed that the hard drive isn't on because its has no vibration to it. I tighted the power cord to it and "bumbed" a wire or something before i turned it on again and then it worked. but when i turned it off and back on that light stayed on and the hard drive was back to not working. I do not know what i hit inside to make it work but could i get some help. What does that light staying on mean.

Disconnect the drive and see if it at least boots to the posting screen. That way you can see if the drive is causing the problem.

Make sure the drive data cable is connected correctly. The red striped edge of the ribbon cable needs to be connected to the #1 pin side of both the drive and motherboard connectors.
