Hello:

The fan in my Fujitsu C2111 laptop has lately been running very frequently and much louder than ever. In its first year, the fan was barely audible and very rarely turned on. So, for starters, I thought it best to clean up the dust that could have clogged up in the fan area.

If you have opened up your Fujitsu laptop before, I would appreciate some pointers from you. Unlike the IBM Thinkpads, Fujitsu doesn't provide literature on how to open up their laptops, except for inserting RAM sticks.

Thanks in advance.

If you get it open, I would suggest replacing the fan instead of just cleaning it. Fans are pretty inexpensive and it's a bit dangerous taking a laptop apart.

In fact, you might be better off taking it to a technician.
