Anyone using this software to test hard drives? Both my three year-old 40gb HD were tested to be having critical structure errors and this was one of the reasons why I bought a new 160gb Hitachi. Out of curiosity I used Easyrecovery to test the partitions and to my surprise, it also warned that all the partititons in the new Hitachi drive failed and have critical structure errors. Can the results be trusted? This caused me to run drive further tests with Hitachi test tool and also Spinrite and both reported nothing wrong with the disk. Now I'm wondering which to believe.

If spinrite says it’s ok, that is the one to trust over the other. Also, since the manufactures test tools say its ok and spinrite says it’s ok, I’m willing to bet the drive is fine.
