Ok, I have exhausted almost every avenue possible trying to resolve this issue. I have a Shuttle XPC SS51G which is a compacted form factor as most of you know. It comes with onboard video, which works fine. My problem is that I wanted to upgrade my video and use the AGP slot with a new card I had bought (ATI Radeon 9600 SE). I can't get my system to recognize the new card AT ALL. I have tried everything that I know possible, so I am reaching out for the expertise of some of you. Here are the steps I have performed: Flashed the BIOS, Set in BIOS for the system to use the AGP rather than PCI slot for video, set in BIOS to disable onboard video. This step actually ends up leaving me with no video at all, because the system doesn't act as if the new card even exists, so I get no display out of it and have to reset the CMOS just to be able to get onboard back. This is driving me nuts, because the AGP slot is there for upgrades such as this. Also, I have tried an ATI Radeon 7500 All-In-Wonder and I get teh same result, so this eliminates any problems with the video cards (both of which work in other systems I have). I checked the manual extensively, and tehre is NO jumper for the AGP slot, only ONE jumper, which I have become very familiar with, which resets the CMOS. If I have left any info out, please don't hesitate to ask. Help Help Help!!!!! Please.

You may need to load the drivers for the AGP card first, and then disable the onboard video and reboot.

I had this problem on an old HP. Just look through your documentation to find out how to disable the onboard video card. It is a jumper on the mobo, so you will have to look at the documentation specific for your pc. Also check and make sure in the system documentation that your PC can handle your AGP card, search if it is 1x,2x,4x,8x agp board. Try installing the card then start pc with both videos enabled, then goto Add New Hardware manually. Post if nothing here works, I have other ideas as well.

An 8x card may not work in your system...but that doesn't explain why an old ATI 7500 wouldn't work. Double check your manual & all your BIOS settings...you may have missed something

First off, thanks for the prompt responses. Well, I have combed over the manual and mobo itself, and there seem to be no other jumpers, due to the fact that they have jumped(bad pun) on the jumperless bandwagon. The 7500 All-In-Wonder is 4x AGP and the 9600 SE is 8X and is 1,2,4,and 8x compatible. Also, I have unfortunately found this page in a support document database:
http://shuttle.com/share/fae/hq/faq/sff/support%20lists/SS51support.PDF

Click on AGP support list. I know this is a big DUH, because seemingly if the card isn't on the list, you're S.O.L. What I can't understand is that it supports the ATI Radeon 9800XT which is newer and around $400, but not some of the lesser of the ATI family. Is this list the definitive end to my post hopes?
