I'm having trouble with a computer I bought a auction. When I first bought the computer I turned it on and everything worked perfectly. I needed to but a CD-RW drive in it though. so I go through the trouble of pulling out and unplugging the hard drive and floppy so I can get to the current cd-rom drive and replace it with the burner but since its a desktop case I have to pop up and pull out the power supply (I didn't unplug anything attached to it) I replace the cd-rom drive and but everything back and then go to boot the computer power comes on but nothing displays (I can see that it is trying to read from the hard drive) but never gos any farther tried both using a different monitor and graphic card (On several of the PCI Slots) nothing I don't know what else to try

Try putting the CDROM back in and see if it boots up. If it does, then go online and look for a BIOS update for that computer.
Good Luck.

I suggest disconnecting all the drives and trying it. You should get a display without any drives connected. You might have put a cable in upside down.
