My Dell Dimension 4600

3.2 GHz Pentium 4 Extreme Edition (478)
4GB of DDR1 Ram
1 TB SATA Hard Disk (7200rpm)
Nvidia 7600 GT (AGP)
Windows Vista Ultimate (x86)

Purchased NEW in May 2004 (with many upgrades afterwards)

Possible new computer (laptop)

Intel Duo Core @ 3.06GHz
4GB of Ram ( I think DDR3)
500GB Hard Drive (7200 rpm)
Nvidia 9600M GT
Mac OSX snow leopard

I plan on keeping both one as a desktop, and one as a laptop. How much faster is the new laptop as compared to the desktop, I am not looking for an exact number or anything like that more just in terms such as "a lot faster" or "about the same" etc.

Thank You, for your help

Jesse

About the same.

The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer.

If the two choices are "a lot faster" or "about the same", I would say "a lot faster", though it would help to know exactly what the cpu is on the laptop.
