old sun keyboard issues

I have an old sun computer with type 5 keyboard. What will happen if i plug and unplug the keyboard while it it on? Will it damage the cpu?

Jun, can't say for sure about your Sun, but in my experience, any PS2 connection can cause problems when disconnected in a power on condition, but I seriously doubt it would cause a problem severe enough that a restart won't fix. Never has with me anyway.

Only USB connections seem to be relatively trouble free when it comes to a dis/reconnect while in a booted condition. At least that's been my experience.

I know that isn't much help, maybe someone with a Sun that's tried that will chime in.
