Comment:

I just installed a new motherboard and currently using the onboard sound, but i can barely hear anything on the old speakers. I tried it with another computer with onboard sound and get same results. But when i connect to different set of speakers works just fine. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Sound like you have a problem with your wire s to your speakers , check to see if the wire is not pinched any where and if the 2 wires may be touching each other somewhere

Are you using passive speakers or speakers that have their own amp?

Yes, some sound cards have amplified output and will drive passive speakers. Other sound cards have low level output and need AC powered speakers.

i am using passive speakers and i'm pretty sure that the wires are as they should be, no pinching or anything.
