any power supply over 200 watt should be ok, a standard atx case if its an atx board, as for heastink fans for a k62-400 i doubt they make them any more id go to a local pc shop and see if they can match one up for your for a few quid, ive built many an old crappy machine its fun but aslong as each part works! all in all the old stuff you can pretty much throw it about and itl still work, they dont make em like they used to.

Generally, an ATX board:

has a "one piece" power connector

Has all the major in/out ports connected right to the board (no cables/adaptors)

Has both ps/2 ports, mouse and keyboard, stacked "on top" of each other.

Some ATX "look like" boards made for special brands like Comcrap and others may fool you, yet not fit other cases, or work with other power supplies. You SHOULD normally be able to find some numbers on the board, plug them into Google, and find specs on the board.

In fact, I put your number into Google, could not open the site. You might try later

I had a quick look at your board's manual...

It is a microATX board, so you'll need an ATX case & ATX power supply...250 watts should be plenty.

It's based on the Ali 5 chipset & only caches 128mb of RAM...if you install more than 128mb, you'll hurt performance.

Are you sticking with the onboard graphics & onboard sound? Sound should be fine...video is debateable...it depends on what your plans are. It has 8mb ATI Rage Pro 3D Turbo running on AGP bus, if you decide to go with a card instead, you'll have to go with PCI.

Your CPU voltage, FSB, & multiplier are adjusted via DIP switch & jumpers.

You should still be able to find a HSF...you don't need anything exotic. $10 or less

Yes the graphics arent up to much im looking at getting a pci graphics card like a radeon 7000 for about £30. Do you think that would have much of an improvement as previously when i had 56k i tended to have pings in CS of 1000. Also i now have broadband but have not used the p.c. since getting it.

I also have an IBM 300gl which has a pentium 2 350 cpu, just wondering if anyone could tell me any information about the motherboard type of this p.c.
