Old Floppy Disk with pictures

Specs: Windows XP
I have old flopy disks with pictures on them but when I put the disk in my drive it says not accessible, no id address mark

They go bad. Try a different computer even if you have to go to a store that deals with photos and images. A place for architects and other graphic professional may have better drives and only charge you a 1./2 hour fee to transfer to cd or other media. They may even print them out.

Apparently this can happen after Quick Format.

Might be worth trying Recuva (to the HD) if that can see the floppy:

Hi Sherri, my thoughts:-

Are you sure they were created on a ibm or compatible pc?

Try them on the oldest/slowest pc you can find

Could they be HD (2 square holes) that have been written as DD?
if so, blank off the 'extra' hole with black tape.

Please advise back on progress.

As a matter of interest, where are you based? I am in Hammersmith, West London.
