AH NUTS. i just realized the p4 3.2E is prescott!@ Doesn't the prescott run quite hot compared to the northwood? Am i screwed?

What's the concern about CPU temp? You can not overheat a P4 to failure. So what's the big deal if it runs a little warmer? I'm not really sure what you're asking.

You may have gotten screwed on that $1500 setup if what you listed in your other post is all that came with it.

Jesus, im getting dumb i forgot that p4's automatically shut off when they are overheating, right? shucks.. is the prescott still good though? I can get that or the 3.0 northwood.

if a p4 runs hot it slows down de the cpu
safe some money and get the 3.0
it runs great in my system

thx for the reply. but the 3.2e is $21 dollars more than the 3.0c so money isnt the problem.
