Specs: Windows 7
Just bought a brand new Acer Aspire 5734z Windows 7 Laptop and i stupidly got a memory stick pro duo stuck into the port (didnt use an adapter), i cant get it out and its well and truly stuck in there, any help? I also tried to shake it out quite violently so do you think this has caused the following damage? If so will this be covered by my warranty?

Also ever since this has happened my laptop wont even load up, it gets to the hang screen where it says ACER and then the fan stops blowing and it crashes, i tried clicking F12 to open up settings with no luck, also tried clicking F8 to kickstart it but no luck either.

Which port?

What exactly is this device you tried to plug in? Model number?

It sounds like you have forced something into a port it was never meant to go in and have damaged something. In which case it will come under the category of misuse and will not be covered by a warranty.

Do you mean you inserted a micro SD card into an SD card reader slot?

If that is what you did you may be able to get it out with a fine piece of hooked wire, like a properly l shaped paper clip.

Unplug you AC adapter, remove the main power battery, then depress the power button before attempting to stick the paper clip in the reader slot. Be gentle. Hopefully you haven't done any permanent damage.
