Hi all ...
Was wondering about the whats and hows of changing over to an ATI graphics card from my current Nvidia.Am thinking of buying the nvidia 6800 gt model but have found the X800 XT model for only a little more cash.
I also have an Nvidia chipset motherboard,I know this has nothing to do with the video card but would the 6800 GT perform better?
Any help or suggestions welcome.
jarsc.

i would seriously go with ATI's X800 XT. the design of the card is superior, AND its a one slot solution. In several tests, the X800 XT beat the 6800GT in some games...however, overall, the tests showed the X800 XT and the 6800GT pretty much tied out. Also, the X800 XT consumes less power than the 6800GT. I only recommend getting the 6800GT if you have a 400W+ power supply... the Radeon X800 XT recommends a 300W+ PS i believe... ATI is strongly recommended
