hello all.
i just bought a new laptop. works great other than the fact it came with vista, which i quickly erased and put xp on it, and it runs like a dream.
the video card in this laptop is an nvidia geforce 7000m. i've never heard about it, and i have no idea what to compare it to.
i know that there is a program called sisoftware sandra, that can benchmark the cpu and stuff to see how well it stacks up against others, but there is no video card comparison.
is there some kind of software that compares your video card to other video cards out there? like is the 7000m comparable to a geforce 6200, or a radeon 9550, or what?
thx!
Do not try. Do, or do not. There is no try.

The following site has a listing of notebook graphics cards. They break them down into 6 classes with Class 1 being best & Class 6 being worst. The 7000M is a Class 5 card.

It rates lower than the GeForce Go 6100:

woohoo! it's better than an geforce go fx5200, which i am happy with :), and better than a gma 950, which i am used to :D

I think that's the 1st time I've seen anyone get excited to find out that they have a crappy video card...lol

the site that you listed is not providing accurate information about this card, it has no link, and it says the card is only dx9, when it is dx10... etc.

If you like to install the video driver for the nvidia geforce 7000m, u can find the driver at the following link.trust me i have tried it and it works for my acer aspire 4520 windows xp.

well, it may be crappy, but at least it's not the crappiest! :D
