I'm trying to install this card in my Dell and can't get it to work. I've uninstalled the onboard intel video driver, installed DirectX9.0, set the bios to "auto" for the video selection. When I put the card in the AGP slot and connect the monitor, I get no monitor. The green light just blinks. The 4 diagnostic lights in the back of the unit are all burning solid green. If I plug the monitor in the onboard slot I still get on monitor. When I pull the agp card out everything boots fine. I'm pulling my hair out here. I'm beginning to wonder if this card MUST have winXP to operate.

The operating system, drivers, DX9, & BIOS settings should have no affect on the ability to view the POST screen. In other words, if you have your FX5200 installed correctly (fully seated in it's slot) & the monitor connected to it correctly, you should at least see the POST screen when you 1st bootup.

Video cards/adapters are built to start up in standard alphanumeric mode. This mode does not need a driver or any special software.

I took the card to another computer and it started fine. I went and got a Radeon 9500 for this computer and that works just fine. I have NO idea why the geforce card wouldn't work.
