Hey, this isn't for my computer but for someone elses. They have recently bought a custom built computer from someone (BIG MISTAKE) and it doesn't work. Every now and again the blue screen of death appears. More so in games, whenever the graphics card is used, the computer crashes so I'm assuming its a Graphics card problem (or some other incompatability). I want to know whether ATI Radeon Graphics cards can be used on motherboards with Nforce chipsets? Any other idea what the problem could be? Thanks

Specs:
Motherboard - Chaintech VNF3-250 Zenith Value (64-bit)
CPU: AMD-64 3000+ (not sure what make)
RAM: 1Gb PC3200 DDR400
Graphics: ATI Radeon 9200 /w 256Mb RAM
HDD: 200Gb seagate barracuda 7200 ata serial

I hope this helps. Also when the computer was bought, the buyer was told the graphics card was an ATI Radeon 9200 though the computer believes it is a 9550?

Thanks for your help. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Why dowsnt he take it back to them.

Threaten them with a lawsuit. In the USA you can sue for sure for your money back.

In UK if it didn't work from day one, it meets trade decription act guidelines for action because it is not fit for it's designed purpose. You'll get your money back either way, or the 'builder' will fix it.
