Alright guys I hope someone can help solve this one, not so much for my computer's sake but for my sake of learning.

I had a problem booting up where I would get a blue screen with nv4_disp.dll as the culprit. Ive seen this blue screen before. So I used Systernals boot commander, went in and disabled some nvidia drivers (because I couldnt even get into repair from the recovery cd!) did a repair, reenabled all the drivers and booted up.

I uninstalled the previous nvidia drivers (this is for a Geforece 6800LE AGP) and installed the latest again.

Now sometimes when I start up the computer everything is choppy, I'll move my cursor and itll stop for a second then move, stop, move, stop move, etc.

So I thought it was the display drivers but then I played some music, even the music does the same thing, pauses and continues in a choppy manner.

Although, sometimes ill boot up and the computer runs just fine. Any idea whats going on here!? Darn you blue screens!!!!!!

"Athlon XP overclocked to 3000+"

Could this be the reason ??

That indicates a driver problem. Uninstall your current nVidia drivers (video & motherboard chipset), use "Driver Cleaner" to thoroughly wipe out all traces of them, then reinstall the latest & greatest.

Appreciate it, before I was only uninstalling video drivers. I really appreciate the links, i had tried to set the clock back to original settings didnt help, so far though Ive noticed I havent had the problem so we'll see where I go from here.

Ok so I formatted and installed all the correct drivers. Just like before, though, the computer will run fine and sometimes eventually start getting choppy where Ill be typing (like right now its happening) and itll 'lag' until i see what ive typed but its a very short lag but it keeps happening constantly.

How do I check if this is memory or the cpu ? I doubt its the video card, this will happen with video, music, everything im doing on the computer will have this choppiness
