NTOSKRNL.exe and the mouse

I get an error NTOSKRNL.exe missing only when a USB mouse is plugged in.

Also, keyboard (PS/2) does not come on (F1, F2, F8, F10 - all dead) until windows comes up.

Unplug the mouse and the system boots into XP with no problem.

Tried a different keyboard - same issues.

Anyone seen this?

Are you sure the KBoard isn't in the Mouse port?
