Hi. I recently recovered my computer, and after doing so, my cd/dvd drive (samsung sp2004c, i think) would no longer work. Then, I came to get on my computer, and it has a black screen with "ntldr (i believe) is not found," "press ctrl, alt, delete to restart" . I did, nothing happened, except same thing. So I clicked F10, took me to "PCDoctor5 for Windows PE" where it had option of recovery or system tests. Chose tests. Basic and hardware tests (labeled short self test)both failed, bringing up error code HD521-2W. The optical tests didnt even recognize my cd/dvd drive being there, but it is. (was restored once b4 and since then, its like the cd/dvd drive isnt even there). The CPU and Memory tests came back with no failed devices.
If I do a system recovery now, will it fix everything? I dont mind losing all my stuff. Thanks in advance for your help!
Anxiously awaiting your response... Marlene
