When I start my computer it just goes to a black screen saying: "NTLDR is missing"

Anyone have a clue on what that means?

Well, that is one of the files that needs to load at startup so maybe your hard drive is going bad. If you are able to, hook it up in another computer as the Secondary Master and see if you can run chkdsk.

I am not sure what bootlog mode is, but perhaps you changed the boot order and it is looking for a boot CD or floppy and you don't have one. Check that your hard drive is in the list of boot devices and that the access mode of the primary master is set for Auto.

Your Windows XP setup is corrupted for some unknown reason.Run the XP CD and choose repair rather than setup a new install.Make sure the cdrom is the first boot device in the bios.Save settings and reboot with XP CD.Good luck.

Seems like it worked, just gotta wait for the OS to install. I deleted the old Partitions and am doing a clean install.

For future reference i have found out that if the ntldr file is missing or corrupt. Simply copying it from the XP cd to the root drive seems to work fine. This can also occur if you install multiple OS out of order, meaning install XP then 2000, the 2000 boot loader cant recognize XP and will throw the same error message about NTLDR being corrupt or missing. either way get to a prompt somehow, copy the ntldr file over to root and should solve the problem. Worked for me anyway.
