ntfs hdd using usb enclosure

Specs: Windows Vista
I have a ntfs formatted hard drive from my old laptop, i used a usb enclosure and connected it to my new laptop to copy my files.
the hard drive is being detected and even shows up on my computer but when i check the properties of the hard drive it shows zero bytes and im unable to open the drive.

OS: Vista
HDD: 80gb samsung

Well the problem i found is that when i open disk management it shows the drive and its file system is shown as raw, but when i reconnect the hdd back into my old laptop its working just that while booting it shows a BSD, which would mean the data is still accessable on the drive but on vista its showing up as raw partition.

well i got it.

i used a tool that could read and copy the damaged ntfs drive

Test Disk

although its a dos based tool it works just fine, even when vista is showing the partition as raw
