|Hello, having never posted on a forum before, I am desperately hoping that you guys can help me.|
I have a trusty old laptop (Hi-Grade Notino C7000S) with Windows XP installed. despite being a few years old, it's never presented any problems - apart from a short battery life which is to be expected so I tend to keep it plugged in to the power all the time.
Last night I went to plug an Ipod into the USB socket to charge. I'd never tried this before - the ipod has always been charged with my house mate's Mac. The Laptop was in hibernate mode, so I plugged it it, then went to power up. I don't know if hat is relevant to what happened next, or if it is just a red herring, but it was at this time the computer just didn't power up. I've tried holding down the power key for a few seconds, tried disconnecting it from the power altogether, and I've tried a different adapter - nothing. The charging light doesn't even come on when I plug in the AC Adapter.
If anyone can help or if you have any idea what the problem could be then I'd be so grateful. As far as I'm aware there is no infection - I've had anti-virus software on i for ages and perform regular scans and updates.
I thank you in advance!
