Notebook to Desktop HD adapters

July 15, 2009 at 15:11:42
Specs: Windows Vista
How well do the adapters for hooking up a notebook hard drive to the desktop work? Are most notebook hard drives the same, or at least enough where I won't have to worry if it will work?

Does it matter that my hd is a SATA hard drive?

Thanks for any help.

Adapters work fine.

To basic ways. One is to use native adapter such as ide or sata and the other is to use a usb to hard drive.

A notebook hard drive is smaller and built to take a bit more bumps. Otherwise similar in use. They tend to be very slow however.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
