Not working after changing

Specs: Windows XP
Well today my stationary computer was working properly and everything was fine. I just wanted to change my graphics card from the asus one to a newer one. Well i forgot to uninstall the drivers from the computer and just shut it down, then i opened it cleaned the computer and changed the cards. Now the monitor don't get any signal. I've plugged in everything and the monitor still won't work. I Changed it back to the old one and now that one doesn't work either. I've changed between them many times now and still get no signal. I plugged the monitor into my laptop just to see if it's a problem from the monitor but the monitor worked. I really have no clue what happened.

Thank you for reading and i will happily read any suggestions on what to do. Sorry for my English if anything is not understandable just ask and i will explain

I have solved the problem!
For those interested, I noticed when I boot up the computer the keyboard never started which it should so i thought that it could be something else. iIread somewhere about removing and reinserting my ram. I removed it and found ALOT of dust in the DDR slot. So I cleaned it removed my graphics card. and reinserted both and tadaa it worked.
