Not displaying anything on boot

I just finished building a computer, and after a few problems I have finally got things figured out... or so I thought. When I boot up, it doesn't display anything on my monitor, I know I need to run the BIOS setup before I can actually use my computer, but since I can't see anything it's rather hard to configure the BIOS. The only thing that occurs to me, is the graphics card isn't working, but I've tried two different cards, and I'm still not getting anything on my monitor. Suggestions?

I suggest you strip it down to the absolute minimum;
Motherboard CPU w/HSF 1 stick memory video card
You should get some sort of error like boot device not found, or operating system not found. If you do, then connect up the floppy and try booting from a floppy. If this works then continue adding parts one-by-one and testing. The first part added that does not allow a boot, is, or is in some way related to the problem.

Good advice from hwood. If you get nothing on the screen and do not get any beeps, you have a power supply, motherboard or CPU problem.
