Hi,

I just got a new HDD, a Maxtor DiamondMax10 Sata300...

I left my old one (IDE 160GB) as primary IDE master.. then put my new Sata HDD in SATA 1,
In BIOS it's detected as the Third Primary master...

So i booted up but it won't appear in explorer.. why?
It's detected in BIOS and even in device mannager but not in explorer :(

Any ideas anyone..?

Thanks.

Needs to be partitioned and formatted before explorer will see it.
Use Disk Management tool
Start> Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
