OS: WIN XP PRO
CPU/Ram: 3 x2/ 4 GB RAM
Product: AMD 6000/twin2x2048-6400c
Comment:

OK I am at a loss here
I have the following

GA-M55SLI-S4 Mainboard
4 GB of Corsair Twin2x2048-6400C4 G RAM
AMD AM2 6000+
Tt 750w PSU
XFX 8800GTS 640 MB Video Card

This is what is happening

When I put 2 GB of RAM into the two red DIMM slots the PC boots up fine
When I put 2 GB of RAM into the two yellow DIMM slots the PC will not boot it just keeps giving me the Beep as if there is a memory error.
When I all 4 or 3 GB of RAM into the DIMMs it does the same thing.

But I can use 3 GB of TWIN2X2048-6400C4DHX, not which I expected.

Is there something in my bios that I need to change?

The excerpt below is from the manual for your board.

1. Dual Channel mode will not be enabled if only one memory module is installed.
2. To enable Dual Channel mode with two memory modules (it is recommended to use memory
modules of identical brand, size, chips, and speed), you must install them into DIMM sockets
of the same color.
3. To enable Dual Channel mode with four memory modules, it is recommended to use memory
modules of identical brand, size, chips, and speed.

Have you tried going into the bios settings and make sure the memory remap is enabled?

With the 3 sticks of working ram, try the odd chip out (the yellow presumably) in the other empty slot and see if still works.
If this fails then it looks as if you have a faulty ram slot.
