Not able to unplug my pendrive

Specs: Windows XP
When ever i trying to unplug the pen drive it is giving error like genric device etc........ can i have proper solution for this...........

Are you attempting to remove by using the safely remove icon in the tray by the clock?

That's normal. If you don't stop the device before removing it, then you will indeed get that error.

If you have an Explorer window open on the pen drive, you are deemed to be using it, close the window before removal.

Some virus might also be running on it or other link.

Make a folder called auturun.inf. If it doesn't want to then you may have a hidden file already called that. Read it and see what is says. It should not be there. A folder named that would help prevent infection.
