I have two users available to log into. I recently had a problem with my hd dvd writer and in the device manager i have a yellow ! next to the device. I looked up the code 39 and it had some instructions to delete some files that contained certain words in them, it turned out to be about 4 of them. I deleted them and rebooted the computer. Now when i have to log in the mouse wont work and the keyboard seems unresponsive. I tired to reboot in safe mode and same thing, I'm not able to choose a log in. I think this is some sort of a registry issue. The log-in's are not set to enter a password, all i have to do is click which one i want to enter. I dont know how else to get into my computer to try to fix this!! please help!!!!

First thing to try is a cold reboot (completely shut down for 20 seconds).
Did you delete upper & lower filters?

yes it was the upper/lower filter, if i can recall correctly there were about 4 uppers. when i tried to shut it down to attempt safe mode, all i could do was a cold shut done but i dont think i waited 20 seconds. I'll have to try that.
