Ok here's the problem. When a friend of mine turns her pc on after it's been off for a while (maybe 12+ hours), it starts making wierd noises. (Like the asteroids video game. Yes I confused to.) After flipping it off & on 5 or 6 times it finnally boots up and pauses at the POST and says something like "hardware problem detected press del to enter setup". Everything seems normal but this 1 setting in the power management screen. It says something about "fan power usage is suppose to be at 4.65v" but its only at 4.57v. (No, its not the exact numbers but it's purdy close, I'm doing this from memmory.) A quick fix for this would be to disable detection but if there is really something wrong I wouldn't wan't something to blow. But anyway after it's been on awhile there is no problem. I'm good with computers but, I've never touched anything about fans before. Oh, and by the way, there are 4 fans in this pc.

Since no one has responded I'll take a shot. If you have 4 fans, why not disable one at a time and see if the problem reoccurs. (Not the CPU fan of course)

sounds like 1 or more fans need lubrication. with computer cover off & fans making noise put your finger to stop the fan from spinning for a sec to see which fan is noisey

Listen to see if the "asteroids" noise is coming from the PSU.
