All of a sudden, I can't get any video from my system. No changes were made, just the video stopped. Before it went completely out, sometimes it would take anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour before the video would start. I assumed it was the video card so I purchased another video card and still the same problem. My system has been running for over a year without any problems. Any suggestions?

You should have posted about your question when it 1st started happening. Are you getting the normal POST screen & it just takes forever to get into Windows or don't you get anything on the screen at all?

It could be an overheating problem...did you notice any dust buildup on the CPU heatsink/fan when you opened the case & replaced the video card? Another possibility is that your system is severely infected with viruses & spyware/malware.

It posts but absolutely no video (post screen, etc). No dust buildup or anything like that. Planning on unconnecting everything and boot with just the ram and video card intact to see if that's the case.I have spyware and virus programs installed but you never know.

Thanks

Done that several times. Even did the ole time eraser trick to no avail. Just wondering, could it possibly be the slot in the motherboard. The fans on the video card powers up but I'm still not getting any video. I will switch out cards and monitors again and see if that changes anything. Just don't feel like buying anything else without a definitive answer.

Thanks

Are you getting any POST beeps? the normal single beep? Did you try a different monitor?

Thanks for the help guys. After switching out monitors again, I found that the monitor had finally went dead on me although it wasn't earlier.
