Specs: Windows 7
ASUS M4A88TD-M AMD 880G Socket AM3 motherboard with AMD Phenom 2 x6 1055T.

I just got the final components today, a seagate barracuda, 1TB, 32MB cache, 7200 RPM HD,
patriot 4GB pc3-10666 1333 mhz memory and windows 7.

I have the sata connections plugged into random sata connections on the motherboard, does this make a difference? I have the memory in the blue slots, not the black ones.

The pc turns on, I hear the hard drive, my asus dvd drive works, my power supply and case fans all start, the cpu fan starts, everything seems okay and there are no beeps. But nothing at all shows up on my screen. Please help asap! I am going to be upset if I can't get it working tonight. I've been broke for the last month buying all the parts.

I already know the answer but I'll ask anyway - did you benchtest the motherboard before installing it in the case?

haha no, tell me what I did wrong! This is the first time I built a pc. I have taken systems apart and put them back together before, but never built from scratch.

hahaha You know what I did wrong? I forgot to plug in the "extra" 4 pin connector from the power supply. The second I did, everything worked fine. But now, my belkin wireless G adapter wont work! haha I downloaded the drivers and it still cant find my wireless network. But this is not a big deal, at least its up and running and the fasted I've ever had!
