Solved no video and 8 beep code with onboard gpu

Specs: Windows vista
hello, this is my first time posting on a forum, so let me know if I break any rules

I have just replaced my motherboard in my pc, all troubleshooting ive done suggests that it was bad. the fans were turning but that was it. no post, nothing on monitor, no beeps, nothing , just the fans. tested the psu, even tried a different one, and it checks out to be ok.

well anyway I ended up buying another motherboard, it was the same make and model number as my existing mb because I didn't want any problems, just wanted to hook it up and go.
well after I install it and get everything hooked up I receive beeps, so at least I know part of the mb is working. my prob is the beeps suggest a bad video card, but it has onboard video on the mb, can this code mean anything else, cause Its hard for me to believe that a brand new motherboard has a bad section on it.

thanks for all help in advance
it has AMI bios
the beep codes are as follows: 2 quick short beeps(I assume bios start up)
then after about 10-15 secs 8 short beeps
then after a little bit 1 beep
then 2 quick short beeps just like the first

Is there some reason why you didn't post the make/model of your board? Did you bench test the board before installing it in the case?

"2 quick short beeps" = memory error

"after about 10-15 secs 8 short beeps" = memory error

"after a little bit 1 beep" = memory error

Either the RAM isn't fully seated in the memory slot or it's defective. Try removing it & snapping it back in place. It may take a LOT of force so be very careful that the board doesn't deflect too much.

Post the model of the motherboard. Below are the AMI beep codes.
