Comment:

I recently reinstalled Window XP because of the spyware problems. After the new installation, my computer has no sound. I had check everything. The sound system in my control panel says everything works properly. But if I updated the driver, then I got a code 10. I have to roll back the driver then everything says fine. But there's no sound. Anyone has any suggestions?

You probably need to install more than just the sound driver.

Motherboard chipset drivers, Graphics, LAN, sound, printer, mouse, etc.

You supplied NO system information so I am unable to send to to the right place for the drivers.

I am not too sure what system information you are looking for.
I am running Windows XP, Professional Version 2002 service pack 3.
Does that help?

No, that does help. Drivers are specialized programs written specifically for each hardware item. There are hundreds of brands and models.

If your sytem is a pre-built then post the brand and the EXACT model of the unit.

If custom built then supply the motherboard model and version.

If you don't know any of the above then download SIW.exe and use it to make some determinations on what you have. Get SIW by clicking the link below.
